Len Arcuri [00:00:00]:
There's a version of you that's more capable than you can imagine. And you don't get there by grinding it out in isolation. You get there by getting the right support. Navigate smarter, not harder. And when you do, everything changes. If you're a parent of a child with autism, you are being called to rise with love, courage, and clarity. This journey isn't easy, and most parents aren't equipped, but you can be. This podcast is your invitation to rise higher, because how you navigate matters.

Len Arcuri [00:00:34]:
I'm Len, and this is Autism Parenting Secrets, where you become the parent your child needs now. Welcome to Autism Parenting Secrets. This is episode 250, and I'm Len. If you're new here, this podcast is all about helping parents become the most powerful force in their child's life. Not by telling you what to do, but by helping you break through what's holding you back. Going forward, this podcast is going to continue to share insights, ways you can change how you're navigating, how you're responding, and how you're showing up each and every day. And I'm excited to share that Cass will be launching her own podcast soon. It will be different from this one, but very complimentary.

Len Arcuri [00:01:22]:
It's devoted to sharing stories of love, hope, and miracles, to spotlight what's truly possible. So stay tuned for that. But this episode is different. It's direct. It's really a heartfelt message from me to you, and it's a call to action. This podcast, Autism Parenting Secrets, shares the insights and secrets that make all the difference in finding answers for your child. There are many secrets, but two stand out. Number one, even though so much of the focus is on your child, you are the absolute key.

Len Arcuri [00:02:00]:
No one knows your child the way you do. No one is better qualified than you to make the right decisions. And number two, how you navigate this journey matters. It's the linchpin that holds everything together, especially when things get tough. And they will get tough. So fix how you navigate first, and then you'll implement what's right for your child. So much better. And what's really in the way.

Len Arcuri [00:02:31]:
It's not the diagnosis. It's not the lack of options. There's absolutely no shortage of those out there. The real obstacle, you're not fully equipped for this journey. No parent is, and it's not your fault. The problem with this episode is dedicated to is parent disempowerment. The journey is hard, and if you're like most parents I work with, you are absolutely doing your best. You've read the Books.

Len Arcuri [00:03:04]:
You've got the bookshelf full of them. Some you've read, most you haven't. Their shelf help, not really self help. And you've seen the doctors, the therapists, the specialists you've tried the diets, the protocols, the therapies and all could definitely be helping. But overall, your child is still stuck. And if you're honest, so are you. That doesn't mean you're broken, but it does mean that you're not fully equipped yet. I wasn't either.

Len Arcuri [00:03:38]:
And because I wasn't fully equipped, my son Ry, his needs weren't being met the way they could have been. That's the truth. It's not about self blame, it's really about ownership. And I invite you now to ask is a big reason why your child isn't progressing faster the way you're hoping. Is it because you haven't become who they need you to be? For me, the answer was a very painful but resounding yes. I know the pain, the spinning, the self doubt, the fear of making a wrong move, the guilt of not doing enough and the shame of past mistakes. And it was exhausting. The pain is the consequence of poor programming, of being set up to fail.

Len Arcuri [00:04:30]:
And that's what happens when you're not equipped. So what can you do about it? And this message is a powerful one, but it's not for everyone. It's for the parents who are all in. The ones who demand excellence, who know more is possible, who refuse to let their child down. Because I know you want to be a great parent. Not pretend, not, not perform, not worry about appearances. All in. Parents are willing to do what it takes, even and especially when it's hard and inconvenient.

Len Arcuri [00:05:08]:
If you're like me, you want to feel calm, clear, courageous. You want to stop second guessing and you want to lead. This isn't about shortcuts, but this is the fastest path to what you want for yourself and your child. So what's possible if you truly transform? That's what I want you to see. Hope and faith are very appropriate here because there is a path. And this is where a really key habit comes into view. Stephen Covey, in his book the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, he called it sharpening the saw. It's the discipline of consistently investing in your own growth.

Len Arcuri [00:05:54]:
And that's exactly what this work is. When you sharpen yourself, you stop hacking at the tree with a really dull blade. You gain efficiency, clarity and results. You run on all cylinders. If you've been struggling, it's not your fault. Parenting wasn't meant to be done alone. I mean, hundreds of years ago, thousands of years ago, parents parenting was communal. Now, especially with autism, many of us isolate.

Len Arcuri [00:06:22]:
I know I did for very good reasons. But here's the truth. There's a version of you that's more capable than you can imagine. And you don't get there by grinding it out in isolation. You get there by getting the right support. Navigate smarter, not harder. And when you do, everything changes. You stop reacting and you start responding.

Len Arcuri [00:06:48]:
There's a big difference. You stop wishful thinking, and you start leading with informed hope. You stop spinning and you start ascending. And some songs capture this so well, Like Hamilton, the Very Beginning, one of the opening songs, I Am Not Throwing Away My Shot. That phrase is repeated over and over in my shot. And it's about seizing the opportunity. And if you go back and listen to that song, I think you'll find it really empowering. And it really describes this opportunity that's in front of you.

Len Arcuri [00:07:28]:
And if you go back many more years, back to Eminem, in the lyrics to Lose Yourself, another super empowering, motivating song, he talks about how you only get one shot. Do not miss your chance to blow. This opportunity comes once in a lifetime. Super relevant, very powerful. And I was wildly confused by that line. Initially. I was like, what's he talking about? Chance to blow. But what he's talking about is, do not miss your chance to blow up.

Len Arcuri [00:07:58]:
In other words, to become big. Expanding, big, transforming, becoming the person, or in your case, and my case, the parent you're meant to be. So those two songs convey this concept really, really well. And if you're going to transform, why wait? Why delay? This truly is your moment. And I never thought that I'd have a podcast about autism or that I'd be coaching parents of a child with autism. But I remember my first autism conference in 2009. Cass held the fort down at home, which was not an easy thing to do at the time with my son and my young daughter who had just arrived. And I really didn't want to go to this conference.

Len Arcuri [00:08:43]:
Overall, I was angry, I was frustrated. I felt isolated, I felt judged a lot. And I sat through those sessions at that conference, and I took notes. And instead of socializing with other people, I retreated to my hotel room after those sessions, and I basically obsessed over a spreadsheet. I thought if I could capture my notes and come up with a plan, I thought if I could just build the right plan, I could fix it. All that Cass and I, together, could fix this alone. Even though I was focused on my son and my situation and didn't really want to socialize and engage with other people, even then, I knew that once we helped Ry and got him to a better place, I knew I wanted at some point in the future, to help others. And Now Ry is 18 and thriving.

Len Arcuri [00:09:41]:
For the boy who had lost his words and didn't speak for years, he now talks more than anyone I know. He's a rising senior. His GPA is a 3.95. He's thriving. And per the Autism Research Institute's ATEC assessment, he's gone from a 76, which put him more at moderate borderline severe autism back when he was very young to now where his score is a four. And that transformation was possible because Cass and I transformed. My son did all the work, but we, by working on ourselves and getting equipped, we freed up the space for him to thrive. And so all of that went into where I am now, where I've created the all in Parent Accelerator.

Len Arcuri [00:10:37]:
It's the most powerful personalized support I've ever offered. It starts with a really detailed assessment, eight years in the making, that immediately pinpoints the exact areas to focus on for you. The issues to solve, the changes to make, the strengths to leverage. This isn't advice, and it's not theory, and it's not group coaching. It's not for parents who want just more information. It's for parents who want to become someone who makes great decisions fast. You're not stuck right now because you don't know enough. You're stuck because you don't have the support to implement and to change what matters most for you.

Len Arcuri [00:11:19]:
Because transformation is personal. It's emotional, it's spiritual. It requires real time guidance, extreme accountability, and daily course correction. No book, no podcast, no support group, not even ChatGPT can do this. It takes a human, a mentor, particularly someone who's obsessed with helping you rise. And that's what the accelerator is. It's your invitation to stop dabbling and get fully equipped. Because as we all know, autism is expensive.

Len Arcuri [00:11:55]:
But this isn't a cost. It's an investment in yourself, in your time, in your energy. And the return is massive. And I wasn't open to support at first. As I mentioned, I would have passed on this. But knowing what I know now, this is the program I wish I had. It's not transactional. It's not advice driven.

Len Arcuri [00:12:17]:
It's relational. I walk alongside of you. You rise. You could take years to figure this out or you can benefit from the well over 10,000 hours I've already invested and figuring out what works and what doesn't. This isn't for everyone. It's for parents ready to go from stuck to soaring, from powerless to powerful, from overwhelmed to unstoppable. If that's you, take the next step. Go to elevatehowyunavigate.com and apply.

Len Arcuri [00:12:52]:

Your child deserves the best version of you, and the accelerator exists to help you become that version fast. So appreciate how far you've already come. You're already in the top few percent of parents because you see the opportunity before you. You don't need a guru, and I'm not one. But you do need a mentor. And you're not powerless and you're not alone.

Len Arcuri [00:13:33]:
